Josiah and I met some friends at Greenlake wading pool

He was in the water long after the kids we were there with came out. I had to go get him because he was shivering - I have a serious water boy on my hands.

that's JT giving me the crazy eye, and Jen and Katelynn beyond

we wandered over to the lake while they were putting chlorine in the wading pool

and we found a sweet duck family

and dirt - which of course the wading pool is sorely lacking

David is 29!

So for David’s birthday we took the train downtown to Pike Place.  Here are a few photos from the fun we had…

We picked up some yummy bread, cheese, salami, and blueberries from the market and we found a grassy spot to sit and enjoy.

well, maybe not all of us sat - but who can sit when there are places to run and people to greet?

Happy Birthday to my sweet David.  We love you!

Summertime, we can’t get enough of you.

A little water play in our driveway

heavier than he thought

he loves to practice his pouring skills

...especially on daddy

but daddy retaliates with even more water

maybe I'll just get my hair a little wet...

yep, that should be good.

Farmer’s Market Wednesday

We love our farmer’s market.  We go every week and support our local farmers  (not to mention, get the freshest, most delicious fruits and veggies available!)

oh raspberries, who can resist thee?

Obviously not us!

Story time with David and all of the kids in the house

Josiah insists on helping whenever I'm cleaning

My very first ice cream cone

His reaction was priceless. He didn't realize it would be cold - and we didn't think to explain that to him ahead of time.

duh, everyone knows ice cream is cold...unless you've never had it, I guess.

Josiah heads for safety in the couch whenever I bring out the vacuum. David captured this photo, unfortunately he just missed the shot he had intended to get: Josiah zoning out with his finger up his nose.

I see you there Daddy.

On our first weekend after graduation this is what we did to celebrate…

Visitors photo dump (you’ve been warned) July 9, 2010

Because of all of the festivities – (graduation and birthday) – we have had lots of company.  Thank you to my mom and sister and David’s parents for coming out to celebrate.  It means so much to us!  Here are some pictures from the trip.

We went to the zoo - unfortunately this is the only picture I have from the trip.

Grammy got in some really good play time with Josiah

...and read LOTS of books

Auntie Lisa came to seattle quite short on sleep but she did her best to make up for lost hours.

out for breakfast

Josiah liked to help deflate the air mattress in the morning

more books...

more playing...

Momma's last minute sewing before the party

Josiah's "park party." Even though it was a bit chilly that day many of the kids still went for it in the water. Who can resist?

grandma and grandpa came into town just in time for the party...and to help with the food!

Grandma and Grammy worked together to make a delicious cake.

so many great friends and oh my, the never ending presents.

...and from momma and daddy a helmet and balance bike - from which he promptly fell, split his lip, and then said, "more bike."

mmmm, did he ever love his cake!

the next day was David's graduation - Yay David!

Josiah was thrilled to have so many guests...and all of their attention.

at a great park in Tacoma

oh grandma - we love your silliness

Josiah and Grandma read countless books and Blueberries for Sal was the book of choice for this trip

last day with Grandma and Grandpa - whatever will we do when our guests have all left. Josiah has been going through withdrawals.

Thank you again to grammy, auntie Lisa (heseeah), grandma and grandpa – we really enjoyed your visit!
